Everton are going to see some considerable changes made to their squad over the summer.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Decisions still need to be made on the future of some of Everton\u2019s<\/a> players who are set to run out of contract.<\/p>\n

David Moyes has been holding contract meetings<\/a> at Finch Farm over the last week to narrow down which players could stay.<\/p>\n

However, there is a lot of work needing to be done at Everton. <\/p>\n

In what will be their first summer on Merseyside, the Friedkins are expected to fund a big summer<\/a> window for the Blues. <\/p>\n

That is going to be needed as the Toffees need to add a lot more quality to their side.<\/p>\n

Beto has been linked with a move to Leeds United<\/a> ahead of the summer and Moyes shed some light on the striker\u2019s situation in his most recent press conference. <\/p>\n

Following the injury to Dominic Calvert-Lewin in January, Beto has been handed a much more important role on Merseyside.<\/p>\n

However, Beto is aware Everton could sell him this summer<\/a> with newly-promoted Leeds showing their interest in the striker.<\/p>\n

Speaking from Finch Farm on Friday, Moyes has shared his very honest thoughts on the 26-year-old after a larger role in the side.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cHe has become a much more important player as the season has gone on,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we put him in the team initially it was mainly down to injuries. So, sometimes in football you need a bit of luck, you need an opening. He was so good, he scored against Tottenham, scored in the other games, he has been a real handful. <\/p>\n

\u201cHe is looking a lot more assured and there are things we know he can do better. He is really trying to make a mark and let\u2019s be honest, he probably has [done that].\u201d<\/p>\n

Under Sean Dyche, Beto wanted to leave Everton in January<\/a> with a real lack of opportunities coming from the starting XI.<\/p>\n

However, he has been handed some hope of being Everton\u2019s starting striker with improved form in a blue shirt. <\/p>\n

Everton still want to sign summer striker<\/p>\n

Although these comments do read as a warning to Leeds after their interest was shared earlier in the week, the door for an exit could still open.<\/p>\n

Everton are in talks with Dominic Calvert-Lewin over a new contract<\/a> which could put a spanner in the works for Beto.<\/p>\n

And then there are any other signings the Toffees may make this summer.<\/p>\n

It is believed Everton are prioritising a new striker signing<\/a> to really add some quality to Moyes\u2019 options at Bramley-Moore Dock. <\/p>\n
