Leeds United<\/a> teenager Harry Gray was in the away end for our win over Manchester United on Monday. But 24 hours later, he started for Rotherham United as they were relegated to League Two.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That away end at Old Trafford has very rarely housed jubilant Leeds United fans, especially for a league fixture between us and the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

45 years in the waiting, though, Leeds recorded a priceless win to boost our survival hopes as Noah Okafor fired in two first-half goals<\/a>.<\/p>\n

If you were watching Sky Sports\u2019 coverage of the match, all you\u2019ll have heard from inside the ground was Leeds fans in the away end, with the exception of five minutes where the home side hoped to build on Casemiro\u2019s goal.<\/p>\n

Amongst those once again spotted in the away section was Leeds sensation Harry Gray<\/a>. He\u2019s seen in the image below, top-right, sporting a black cap.<\/p>\n

The 17-year-old has frequently been seen watching Leeds from the away end. And, he was present for one of our biggest Premier League results in recent history<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Harry Gray\u2019s Rotherham United relegated 24 hours after Leeds United heroics<\/p>\n

There was little time for Gray to bask in the glory of his parent club claiming victory over them lot. 24 hours later, his loan club Rotherham United were in action not far away at Wigan Athletic.<\/p>\n

The Millers were staring down the barrel for relegation already by the time Gray joined on loan in January. A brief uptick in results, helped by Gray\u2019s first two senior goals, didn\u2019t arrest their slide towards League Two.<\/p>\n

Last night\u2019s 3-0 defeat to an in form Latics side ultimately sealed Gray\u2019s and Rotherham\u2019s fate. They\u2019re confirmed as relegated to the fourth tier.<\/p>\n

While Gray started, Millers boss Lee Clark didn\u2019t hold back post-match. He reveals he\u2019s been forced to deal with a squad he believes have downed tools since his appointment.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of them rang in sick. We asked him to come in to be checked and he ended up training. That\u2019s what you\u2019re dealing with,\u201d Clark told the Rotherham Advertiser<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve told them in the dressing room, I ain\u2019t here to protect them. I\u2019m here to look after the best interests of Rotherham United. If people aren\u2019t putting themselves in the right mentality and don\u2019t want to do the right things, I ain\u2019t protecting them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI tried to protect them for the first few games because I wanted to be positive and try to get the results. But when it keeps happening, not a chance.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Gray will return to Thorp Arch this summer for pre-season with a relegation on his CV. However, it was a loan that was obviously sanctioned to get him used to senior football. He\u2019ll no doubt be much richer for the experience of Rotherham\u2019s toils.<\/p>\n
