The three most recent encounters have seen City defeat Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea by a combined scoreline of 9-0, so Guardiola’s line-up looks fairly settled at present.

The fact that the City manager has had no qualms about starting Cherki against big-six opposition bodes well for this weekend’s huge title showdown with the Gunners. Relegation-threatened Burnley then follow in a DGW33 for Man City.

When Cherki gets extended game-time, he usually delivers. He averages 6.1 points per start this season, a figure superior to all other City midfielders. In fact, league wide, Rio Ngumoha (£4.3m) and Bruno Fernandes (£10.3m) are the only midfielders who can better that average.

Despite only starting 15 Premier League matches in 2025/26, he’s the player with the second-highest number of assists to his name, with 11.

He’s also in second place for big chances created, with 17.

Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth) £5.0m

Scott’s Gameweek 32 goal against Arsenal puts him on the radar for AFC Bournemouth’s own Double Gameweek.

But it’s defensive contributions and game-time that are just as key to the appeal of the Cherries midfielder.

Scott has completed 90 minutes in each of the last 12 Gameweeks, which bodes well for DGW33.

During that period, he’s racked up 16 defensive contribution points – joint-second among midfielders – and has averaged 5.2 points per match.

In only three of those 12 contests has he failed to deliver something for his owners, be it a goal, an assist or defensive contribution points.

The return from injury of Tyler Adams (£4.9m) is also worth highlighting. Bournemouth have been without Adams and Lewis Cook (£4.9m), their two defensive midfielders, for large periods of 2026. We saw upon Adams’ introduction at Emirates Stadium last weekend that Scott was allowed to push forward into more advanced positions, which led to him scoring the Cherries’ match-winning goal.

Jaka Bijol (Leeds) £3.9m

Leeds United’s defence has been impressive of late, with just four goals conceded over the last six Gameweeks. Two clean sheets have also been produced in that time.

Given that Leeds face the division’s lowest scorers, Wolverhampton Wanderers, in the first of their two DGW33 fixtures, there’s optimism that at least one more clean sheet can be added over the coming week.

For those Fantasy managers interested in a Leeds defender for this Gameweek in isolation, Bijol fits the bill.

The Slovenian has banked defensive contribution points in eight of his 12 90-minute appearances this season. That’s a success rate of 66.7 per cent when he starts and finishes a match. For context, team-mate Pascal Struijk (£4.3m) can only boast of a 44.4 per cent record when he completes a game.

Bijol also offers a bit of goal threat. He’s Fantasy’s joint-top defender for shots in the box over the last five Gameweeks, having had seven such efforts.

There’s a caveat that Joe Rodon’s (£3.9m) anticipated return from injury in May could affect Bijol’s longer-term minutes, but that’s not an issue that will impact on DGW33.

Morgan Gibbs-White (Nottingham Forest) £7.4m

For Fantasy managers requiring picks who play in both DGW33 and BGW34, Gibbs-White appeals.

His Nottingham Forest side next Burnley on Sunday, with the Clarets being the only club without a Premier League clean sheet away from home in 2025/26. Scott Parker’s side have conceded a league-high 38 goals on their travels, too.

That match scores a “one” in the Fixture Difficulty Ratings (FDR), so there’s every chance that Gibbs-White outscores many of the midfielders who play twice in DGW33.

Forest then travel to Sunderland in BGW34.

Gibbs-White’s goal threat has seen an upturn of late. Over the last nine Gameweeks, he’s joint-second among midfielders for goals scored, with four.

Totals of 23 shots, 15 shots in the box and 2.72 non-penalty Expected Goals (npxG) place him among the top five midfielders during this period, too.

The Scout is tipping four players for big success in Double Gameweek 33 (DGW33) of 2025/26 Fantasy Premier…

[2
13,12,661,14
0":"post-898527","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-news","8":"tag-headlines","9":"tag-news","10":"tag-text","11":"tag-top-stories
["GET
