{"id":898725,"date":"2026-04-16T20:38:43","date_gmt":"2026-04-16T20:38:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/898725\/"},"modified":"2026-04-16T20:38:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-16T20:38:43","slug":"uk-signs-deal-to-rejoin-erasmus-scheme-after-brexit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/898725\/","title":{"rendered":"UK Signs Deal To Rejoin Erasmus Scheme After Brexit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"901\" data-end=\"1050\">The United Kingdom has signed a deal to rejoin the European Union\u2019s Erasmus student exchange programme, five years after leaving it following Brexit.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1052\" data-end=\"1237\"><strong>According to a report by Le Monde, the agreement will allow British students, apprentices and young people to once again take part in study, work and cultural exchanges across Europe.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1239\" data-end=\"1422\">UK Skills Minister Jacqui Smith said the programme offers \u201ctransformative opportunities\u201d for young people, from learning languages to gaining work experience.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1424\" data-end=\"1598\"><strong>The British government expects more than 100,000 participants to benefit in the first year alone.
