A Coronation Street<\/a> star has returned to the cobbles after a six-month absence from the ITV show.<\/p>\n

Donnaleigh Bailey has played police officer Jess Heywood since 2017.<\/p>\n

She made her return to the long-running soap opera on Wednesday (15 April) as PC Jess investigates Todd Grimshaw and Theo\u2019s domestic violence case.<\/p>\n

The episode follows Todd (Gareth Pierce) as he finally harnesses the strength to report partner Theo (James Cartwright) to the police for his abuse.<\/p>\n
