Today, we will discuss an\u00a0issue that
\nwe address on\u00a0a\u00a0regular basis: interaction with our closest neighbours, the\u00a0CIS
\ncountries.<\/p>\n

We have always had, and\u00a0I\u00a0believe
\nwill continue to\u00a0have, a\u00a0special approach to\u00a0this cooperation, both for\u00a0historical reasons and\u00a0due to\u00a0the\u00a0extensive work we carry out together with
\nthese countries, including economic cooperation.<\/p>\n

These are our neighbours, and\u00a0over the\u00a0decades we have developed unique ties in\u00a0the\u00a0cultural and\u00a0humanitarian spheres
\nand\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0human dimension: there are numerous mixed families, many shared interests
\nin\u00a0culture and\u00a0other areas of\u00a0fundamental importance.<\/p>\n

With that, I\u00a0would like to\u00a0invite
\nForeign Minister Sergei Lavrov to\u00a0begin our discussion. I\u00a0am certain that our
\ncolleagues from the\u00a0relevant sectors will have much to\u00a0contribute and\u00a0add to\u00a0the\u00a0report that he has prepared.<\/p>\n
