It was daubed at the feet of the statues of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/paul-mccartney\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Paul McCartneyLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Paul McCartney<\/a>, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/john-lennon\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"John LennonLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">John Lennon<\/a> and was visible on Saturday morning.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Designed by Andy Edwards, the bronze <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/liverpool-pier-head\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Pier HeadLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Pier Head<\/a> statues were a tribute to the band on behalf of fans worldwide and was funded by <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/cavern-club\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"the Cavern ClubLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">the Cavern Club<\/a>. It was unveiled in December 2015.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">The statues are a big tourist attraction and the graffiti didn&#8217;t stop crowds of people from taking photos with them. The left-wing phrase written at the statues is presumably aimed at the band&#8217;s wealth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Paul is the <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/showbiz-news\/how-much-paul-mccartney-makes-30661879\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"UK&#039;s first ever billionaire musicianLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">UK&#8217;s first ever billionaire musician<\/a> and Ringo&#8217;s net worth is estimated to be around \u00a3350m. The estates of John and George are worth \u00a3800m and \u00a3400m respectively.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Tax was the subject of one of <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/the-beatles\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"The Beatles&#039;Link opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The Beatles&#8217;<\/a> most famous songs &#8211; &#8216;<a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/john-lennon-said-paul-mccartney-31098644\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"TaxmanLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Taxman<\/a>&#8216;. Paul added the titular chorus, which he had written as part of a different unfinished song, and gave the track its name.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">In a 1980 interview, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/john-lennon\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"JohnLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">John<\/a> said of its composition: &#8220;That&#8217;s a combination of two separate pieces&#8230; put together and forced into one song. Then Paul comes in with &#8216;Baby, you&#8217;re a rich man&#8217;, which was a lick he had around.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">&#8216;Baby, You&#8217;re a Rich Man&#8217; was recorded in a single session at Olympic Sound Studios in south west London, rather than their usual home of EMI Studios on <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/news\/liverpool-news\/epic-beatles-songs-written-paul-30659270\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Abbey RoadLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">Abbey Road<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Following the completion of the &#8216;Sgt Pepper&#8217; album, <a class=\"TextLink_text-link__dBSS0 TextLink_enabled__dJF3l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liverpoolecho.co.uk\/all-about\/the-beatles\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"The BeatlesLink opens in a new tab.\" tabindex=\"0\" rel=\"noopener\">The Beatles<\/a> had been working on the songs for the &#8216;Yellow Submarine&#8217; film and this track was submitted for it but didn&#8217;t make the cut.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph_paragraph-text__PVKlh \">Instead it was initially released with &#8216;All You Need Is Love&#8217;.
