The man is described as tall and slim wearing a light-coloured jacket, dark joggers, and white trainers.<\/p>\n
Archie is a black cat with a small white patch on his chest.<\/p>\n

“He’s not a valuable breed \u2013 he’s just a rescue cat,” Ed added.<\/p>\n
“But he’s one of the most lovely cats you could meet. Everyone on the street knows him.”<\/p>\n
Neighbours have been checking doorbell and CCTV footage as the search intensifies with the family also planning to contact security at the nearby hospital in case the man holding him was captured on additional cameras.<\/p>\n
Police have been informed and issued a crime reference number, with officers reviewing submitted footage.<\/p>\n
Ed said the incident had come as a shock.<\/p>\n
“We’ve lived here for 10 years and never had any trouble,” he said. “For someone to just pick up a cat and walk off with it \u2013 it’s just such a strange thing to do.<\/p>\n
“We’re absolutely desperate for any information. We just want Archie home.”<\/p>\n
