Health Canada has authorized the use of a nasal spray known as \u201cneffy,\u201d which delivers epinephrine without the need for an injection.<\/p>\n
The treatment has been approved for adults and children who weigh at least 30 kilograms and could be available as early as this summer, officials have announced.<\/p>\n
The new option provides an alternative to traditional epinephrine auto-injectors, such as the EpiPen, which have long been the primary emergency treatment for anaphylaxis.<\/p>\n
