Former Made In Chelsea star and I\u2019m A Celeb winner Sam Thompson has appeared as a regular on the panel of Love Island: Aftersun since 2023 but he won\u2019t be involved this summer’s show\"Sam<\/p>\n

Sam has a lot on his plate and has plenty of TV work to fall back on<\/p>\n

Sam Thompson is stepping down from his role on Love Island: Aftersun after three years.<\/p>\n

The former Made In Chelsea star and I\u2019m A Celeb <\/a>winner has appeared as a regular on the panel since 2023, but won\u2019t be involved this summer’s show.<\/p>\n

It comes just days after Sam Thompson<\/a> found himself in an extremely awkward position on the Hits Radio Breakfast Show on Tuesday Morning, where the 33-year-old is currently covering for Fleur East,<\/a> Will Best<\/a> and James Barr.<\/p>\n

After inviting listeners to ‘Ask Me Anything’, one fan came to the phone and got straight down to the nitty gritty, asking him live on-air, \u201cHow do you feel about playing the song from One Direction<\/a>, Steal My Girl, knowing that one of the 1D <\/a>boys did actually steal your girl?\u201d.<\/p>\n

It comes after the Made In Chelsea<\/a> split from former Love Island<\/a> star Zara McDermott in December<\/a> 2024, after a five-year relationship, the pair living together in Sam\u2019s Chelsea flat and Zara eventually joining the cast of Made In Chelsea.<\/p>\n

But not all was smooth sailing as the couple hit rocky waters and briefly split after Zara admitted to sleeping with someone else<\/a> during The X Factor<\/a>: Celebrity 2019. The pair patched things up, but following rumours their relationship had hit rocky waters again, they split over Christmas<\/a> 2024 – and Zara went official with boyband star Louis in March 2025.<\/a><\/p>\n

Sam has been keeping himself very busy since the split but a spokeswoman for Sam told The Sun: \u201cSam absolutely loved his time as part of the Love Island<\/a> team and the show will always have a special place in his heart, but he felt 2026 was the year to concentrate on his many other ITV<\/a> projects.<\/p>\n

\u201cSam is a big part of the ITV family and is looking forward to his imminent I\u2019m A Celeb South Africa Final presenting role.\u201d<\/p>\n
