Wolves supporters made their feelings clear after the team lost 3-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road, and Rob Edwards did not try to deflect it. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Wolves<\/a> were looking to bounce back after the shambolic defeat to West Ham United in the previous game.<\/p>\n

The players owed the fans a performance, but they came up well short at Elland Road, as Daniel Farke\u2019s side all but secure their survival.<\/p>\n

James Justin opened the scoring for Leeds, with Noah Okafor adding a second just minutes later.<\/p>\n

In injury-time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a penalty to seal the emphatic win for the hosts.<\/p>\n

Afterwards, Edwards accepted the reaction and made it clear the players had fallen well short.<\/p>\n

What Rob Edwards said on Wolves fans\u2019 hostility after defeat to Leeds<\/p>\n

The reality of the defeat was hard to ignore, and the response in the stands reflected that.<\/p>\n

Supporters could be seen and heard venting their anger towards the players after a performance that lacked intensity, control, and heart.<\/p>\n

Edwards did not push back against that reaction, instead stating that the fans should be angry.<\/p>\n

He said (via E&S<\/a>): \u201cI completely understand the frustration and accept it.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fans should be angry and I\u2019ll never, ever say anything other than that.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey travel everywhere and they support the team and they have the right to vent and show their anger and frustration. There\u2019s absolutely no problem from me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m as angry and disappointed as they are. This has obviously been a long time coming and our situation has been difficult for all of this season and even seasons before, as we know and we\u2019ve spoken about.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll I can do is promise them that we\u2019re working extremely hard to make sure that we\u2019re not feeling like this again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wanderers will now look to see if their Premier League stint will be ended on Monday, or if they\u2019ll make it to next weekend for the visit of Tottenham Hotspur.<\/p>\n

Wolves still alive, but relegation could happen on Monday<\/p>\n

Results elsewhere have kept Wolves in the Premier League for now, with Tottenham failing to beat Brighton earlier this evening.<\/p>\n

But Wolves can be relegated on Monday if West Ham take a point against Crystal Palace<\/a>, and that would be a major kick in the teeth because of the Nuno Espirito Santo factor.<\/p>\n

Should West Ham lose and Wolves remain alive, there is then the possibility that Wolves should suffer relegation at Molineux<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tottenham Hotspur are the next visitors to Wolves\u2019 home, and there could potentially be some very uncomfortable scenes for Fosun<\/a>.<\/p>\n
