{"id":904315,"date":"2026-04-19T07:01:51","date_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:01:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/904315\/"},"modified":"2026-04-19T07:01:51","modified_gmt":"2026-04-19T07:01:51","slug":"rob-edwards-reacts-to-hostile-reaction-after-wolves-dismal-3-0-defeat-to-leeds","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/904315\/","title":{"rendered":"Rob Edwards reacts to hostile reaction after Wolves&#8217; dismal 3-0 defeat to Leeds"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>   <a class=\"fw\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/preferences\/source?q=molineux.news \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"28\" height=\"28\" src=\"https:\/\/www.molineux.news\/wp-content\/themes\/grv-media\/img\/google-discover.svg\" alt=\"\"\/> Add as preferred source on Google <\/a>  <\/p>\n<p><strong>Wolves supporters made their feelings clear after the team lost 3-0 to Leeds United at Elland Road, and Rob Edwards did not try to deflect it. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.molineux.news\/club\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wolves<\/a> were looking to bounce back after the shambolic defeat to West Ham United in the previous game.<\/p>\n<p>The players owed the fans a performance, but they came up well short at Elland Road, as Daniel Farke\u2019s side all but secure their survival.<\/p>\n<p>James Justin opened the scoring for Leeds, with Noah Okafor adding a second just minutes later.<\/p>\n<p>In injury-time, Dominic Calvert-Lewin converted a penalty to seal the emphatic win for the hosts.<\/p>\n<p>Afterwards, Edwards accepted the reaction and made it clear the players had fallen well short.<\/p>\n<p>What Rob Edwards said on Wolves fans\u2019 hostility after defeat to Leeds<\/p>\n<p>The reality of the defeat was hard to ignore, and the response in the stands reflected that.<\/p>\n<p>Supporters could be seen and heard venting their anger towards the players after a performance that lacked intensity, control, and heart.<\/p>\n<p>Edwards did not push back against that reaction, instead stating that the fans should be angry.<\/p>\n<p>He said (via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.expressandstar.com\/sport\/football\/wolverhampton-wanderers\/the-fans-should-be-angry-rob-edwards-reacts-as-wolves-face-the-drop-6706037\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">E&amp;S<\/a>): \u201cI completely understand the frustration and accept it.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/GettyImages-2271382520-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"Rob Edwards claps the Wolves fans.\" class=\"wp-image-116707\" \/>Photo by Shaun Brooks \u2013 CameraSport via Getty Images<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe fans should be angry and I\u2019ll never, ever say anything other than that.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey travel everywhere and they support the team and they have the right to vent and show their anger and frustration. There\u2019s absolutely no problem from me.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m as angry and disappointed as they are.
