Bristol City Robins Foundation\u2019s \u2018We Are City\u2019 project has scooped the EFL Diversity award at the EFL awards 2026.<\/p>\n

The \u2018We are City\u2019 project has been built over the years through strong relationships with local communities and the sentiment that\u00a0football is much more than\u00a0a\u00a0professional game.<\/p>\n

The project was built on four associate teams, providing opportunities for those to\u00a0represent\u00a0their club, who may not otherwise have been able to.\u00a0<\/p>\n

These are the Bristol City Cerebral Palsy, Panthers, Deaf and Down Syndrome teams. <\/p>\n

Since its infancy, this project has engaged with more than 100 community\u00a0organisations\u00a0and individuals beyond these.\u00a0It has invited over 2000 individuals to the stadium. <\/p>\n

It has held three Iftars during Ramadan, in collaboration with the club, four Robins Foundation takeover matchdays, yearly Bristol Pride involvement, five visits to the training ground for local young people, kit donations to communities in need and many other bespoke opportunities.<\/p>\n

On winning the award, We are City Project Lead, Roza Bailey, said: \u201cIt is amazing to have the work of the Foundation and club recognised by the EFL.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a true collaboration to ensure that Bristol City is a club for anyone and that anyone can belong here. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe will continue to work hard to make the club inclusive and celebrate the strength we have in diversity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bristol City CEO Charlie Boss said: \u201cWe are really proud of the work of the Robins Foundation continually do to support the vibrant and diverse community in Bristol. <\/p>\n

\u201cTo have that recognised by the EFL is a testament to their hard work and dedication to our club and city.\u201d<\/p>\n
