Roy Keane is still backing Arsenal<\/a> to win the Premier League<\/a> title this season, despite their loss against Manchester City<\/a> in the crucial title encounter. The Gunners fell to a 2-1 loss<\/a>, with the gap between the two teams reduced to three points.<\/p>\n

The last few weeks have seen the points gap slowly close, with City now having the chance to overtake Mikel Arteta<\/a>\u2019s side in the table.<\/p>\n

Rayan Cherki put City 1-0 up at the Etihad Stadium, but Kai Havertz<\/a> levelled things just two minutes later. Arsenal did have chances to take the lead, but Erling Haaland\u2019s second-half goal proved to be the difference between the two sides.<\/p>\n

With the gap closing and City having a game in hand, some people are changing their minds about who are now the favourites to lift the title at the end of the season.<\/p>\n

Speaking after the match, former City defender Micah Richards told Sky Sports: \u201cI have said if Man City win today, this is the game, they will win the League. I have always said that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Former Arsenal man Patrick Vieira<\/a> was in agreement, saying: \u201cThere’s still 15 points on the table but if I had to answer the question I will say it, it will have to be Blue today,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

It was a similar answer from Gary Neville, who said: \u201cFor the first time this season I am probably going to say they will win the League.\u201d<\/p>\n

But, unlike his fellow pundits, Keane<\/a> is sticking to his original prediction.<\/p>\n

“I don’t care. I am going to stick with Arsenal, of course I am going to stick with them,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cNo doubt the belief is not as strong as it was before the game, obviously City have got the momentum but I am going to have to stick with Arsenal because I called them at the start of the season.\u201d<\/p>\n

Arsenal will be keeping a close eye on Man City\u2019s midweek game. Pep Guardiola\u2019s side take on second-bottom Burnley at Turf Moor on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

A win would take the side above Arsenal to the top of the table on goal difference. Both sides will then have five games left in the season.<\/p>\n
