Police divers have been seen searching a Midlands river today as part of a murder investigation.<\/p>\n

Warwickshire<\/a> Police are investigating after Adam Lucas was found dead in Victoria Park, Leamington Spa, on Wednesday 15 April.<\/p>\n

Officers were called to the park that morning after a member of the public saw his body in the water.<\/p>\n

It was later established that he died from injuries consistent with an assault.<\/p>\n

Officers from the Underwater Search Unit were at the park searching the River Leam on Sunday, pictures published by the BBC showed.<\/a><\/p>\n

The victim’s heartbroken family have previously spoken of their shock at Adam’s death.<\/p>\n

“He was an amazing and loved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and cousin,” they said in a statement.<\/p>\n

“We kindly ask that he is kept in your thoughts and prayers while we try to navigate this as a family.”<\/p>\n

The Warwickshire force has appealed for anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area from late Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning to get in touch.<\/p>\n
