Together, &#10;the land and lake look like an eye lookout out at the &#10;Milky Way. &#10;Please see the explanation for more detailed information.\" style=\"max-width:100%\"\/><\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p><b> Explanation: <\/b><br \/>\nHave you ever had<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dictionary.com\/browse\/stars-in-one-s-eyes--have\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">stars in your eyes<\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>It appears that the eye on the left does, and moreover, it appears to be gazing at even more stars.<\/p>\n<p>The<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.miguelclaro.com\/wp\/portfolio\/from-ojos-del-salar-a-martian-eye-looks-deep-into-our-milky-way-galaxy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">featured 27-frame mosaic<\/a> was taken in 2019 from<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/KQv2h1jEN2s?t=66\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Ojas de Salar<\/a> in the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=aj7nxSCVG9Y\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Atacama Desert<\/a> of<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chile\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Chile<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>The eye is actually a small<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap230928.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">lagoon<\/a> captured reflecting the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap200408.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">dark night sky<\/a><br \/>\nas the Milky Way Galaxy arched overhead.<\/p>\n<p>The seemingly smooth band of the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/resource\/the-milky-way-galaxy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Milky Way<\/a> is really composed of billions of stars,<br \/>\nbut decorated with filaments of light-absorbing dust and<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/emission_nebulae.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">red-glowing nebulas<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, both<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/jupiter\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jupiter<\/a><br \/>\n(slightly left the galactic arch) and<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/saturn\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Saturn<\/a><br \/>\n(slightly to the right) are visible. <\/p>\n<p>The lights of small towns dot the<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/static.boredpanda.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/03\/funny-cats-dogs-stuck-furniture-31.jpg\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">unusual vertical<\/a> horizon. <\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/apod.nasa.gov\/apod\/ap161005.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rocky terrain<\/a> around the<br \/>\nlagoon appears to some more like the surface of<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/science.nasa.gov\/mars\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Mars<\/a> than our<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.earthday.org\/earth-day-2026\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Earth<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Discover the cosmos!
