\nHave you ever had
\nstars in your eyes<\/a>?<\/p>\n

It appears that the eye on the left does, and moreover, it appears to be gazing at even more stars.<\/p>\n

The
\nfeatured 27-frame mosaic<\/a> was taken in 2019 from
\nOjas de Salar<\/a> in the
\nAtacama Desert<\/a> of
\nChile<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The eye is actually a small
\nlagoon<\/a> captured reflecting the
\ndark night sky<\/a>
\nas the Milky Way Galaxy arched overhead.<\/p>\n

The seemingly smooth band of the
\nMilky Way<\/a> is really composed of billions of stars,
\nbut decorated with filaments of light-absorbing dust and
\nred-glowing nebulas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, both
\nJupiter<\/a>
\n(slightly left the galactic arch) and
\nSaturn<\/a>
\n(slightly to the right) are visible. <\/p>\n

The lights of small towns dot the
\nunusual vertical<\/a> horizon. <\/p>\n

The rocky terrain<\/a> around the
\nlagoon appears to some more like the surface of
\nMars<\/a> than our
