Senne Lammens has explained how Michael Carrick rallied Manchester United\u2019s bounce back from the Premier League defeat to Leeds United at Old Trafford.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Manchester United returned to winning ways against Chelsea<\/a> at Stamford Bridge after the crucial 1-0 Premier League win on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

However, Michael Carrick<\/a> was under pressure on the weekend after Man Utd suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Leeds United<\/a> at Old Trafford<\/a> last Monday.<\/p>\n

Leeds\u2019 win over Man Utd<\/a> was the Red Devils\u2019 first match in the post-March international break and after a 24-day waiting period for Carrick\u2019s men.<\/p>\n

United legend<\/a> Michael Carrick had faced an uphill battle for the visit to Stamford Bridge after the Red Devils lost multiple defenders to injuries and suspensions.<\/p>\n

Speaking after United<\/a>\u2019s 1-0 Premier League win over Chelsea, Senne Lammens<\/a> insisted that Carrick wanted the Red Devils to \u201creact\u201d to the Leeds United defeat.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very demanding, of course, but he also knows that in the Premier League you can win and lose some games,\u201d he told The National<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe most important thing always is how you react to it. I think last week against Leeds we were not good enough, especially at home, but we also knew that today was a very good chance for us to take those few points and take a very good step into the Champions League.\u201d<\/p>\n

Man Utd won their first four Premier League matches under Carrick after the 44-year-old Red Devils legend was appointed interim head coach back in January.<\/p>\n

Lammens suggested that Carrick wanted Man Utd players to find that \u201cfeeling\u201d they had from their winning streak in the aftermath of their loss to Leeds last week.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was a very good and important opportunity for us to take it and to like turn it around a little bit,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe also know we believe in ourselves and sometimes it\u2019s difficult to think about the first couple of games and when we had the winning streak and that feeling when that comes back.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd we want that feeling back, so that\u2019s also what he was speaking to us about to get that feeling back, and to start a run and I think today\u2019s win was a very special one.\u201d<\/p>\n

Man Utd have only five Premier League matches remaining in their 2025-26 season at Old Trafford ahead of hosting Brentford in their next fixture on 27th April.<\/p>\n
