Loren Allred<\/a>, the sensational voice behind the global hit Never Enough from The Greatest Showman<\/a>, is making an emotional return to the Britain\u2019s Got Talent<\/a> stage tonight for the live semi-final – and she says it still feels \u201csurreal.\u201d<\/p>\n

The American singer, who stunned audiences in 2022 with her powerhouse vocals, credits the ITV talent show for helping her step out of the shadows and into the spotlight.<\/a> \u201cBritain\u2019s Got Talent was a real turning point in my career,\u201d Loren tells The Mirror<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019d spent years behind the scenes in the music industry – singing guide vocals, doing studio work, lending my voice to other projects. But I hadn\u2019t really stepped forward as me. BGT gave me that opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loren, 36, had long been known in the industry as the voice behind Never Enough,<\/a> even though she didn\u2019t appear on screen in The Greatest Showman. While the song became a global phenomenon, her face remained largely unknown – until she wowed the BGT judges and audience with a show-stopping live rendition of the very song she originally recorded.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe show allowed me to tell my story and connect with people as a person, not just a voice,\u201d she says. \u201cThe support I received was incredible, and it opened so many doors I never imagined.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, she\u2019s back for a special performance in the semi-final, and it\u2019s an emotional moment. \u201cThere\u2019s this beautiful mix of nostalgia and excitement. It\u2019s such a warm, full-circle feeling to be back.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loren also says she\u2019s looking forward to seeing the judging panel again – especially Simon Cowell<\/a>, who has been one of her biggest champions. \u201cSimon was so supportive during my time on the show. We\u2019ve crossed paths since, and he\u2019s always been incredibly encouraging. He really helped me build the confidence to step forward as an artist in my own right.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reflecting on Simon\u2019s evolution on the show, she adds, \u201cI think he\u2019s definitely mellowed in recent years. He still has that sharp instinct and high standard, but there\u2019s a softer, more reflective side to him now. You can see how genuinely invested he is in people\u2019s stories, not just their performances. It\u2019s really heartwarming.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also had a message for this year\u2019s semi-finalists: \u201cBe fearless in your vulnerability. Don\u2019t try to fit a mould – just show up as your authentic self. That\u2019s where the magic happens.\u201d<\/p>\n

Loren remains close friends with fellow performers Sydnie Christmas<\/a> and Jasmine Rice. \u201cSydnie and I bonded instantly – our duet of Over the Rainbow always brings us to tears. And Jasmine is just phenomenal. Every time I see her perform, I\u2019m inspired all over again.\u201d<\/p>\n

As Loren Allred returns to the BGT stage, she\u2019s living proof that sometimes, all it takes is one moment – and one stage – to change everything.<\/p>\n
