Two children were hit by a van in Croxteth this afternoon, Tuesday (April 21). Police were called to the scene on Altcross Road at 4.34pm following a report from the North West Ambulance Service about the collision.<\/p>\n
A seven year-old child was taken to hospital <\/a>for treatment. The other casualty, a 10 year-old boy, left the scene with someone else, Merseyside Police <\/a>said, and officers are in the process of finding him. The driver of the van stopped at the scene<\/a>.<\/p>\n The roads policing unit attended and a road closure was put in place from Altcross Road to Riviera Drive.<\/p>\n Traffic <\/a>monitoring service Inrix said at 5.07pm: “Altcross Road in both directions is partially blocked due to an accident from Riviera Drive to Moss Way.
