Vladimir Putin has been issued an ultimatum by Keir Starmer and European leaders to accept a 30-day ceasefire with Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The UK Prime Minister travelled to the capital of Ukraine to be hosted by President Volodymyr Zelensky in peace talks.<\/p>\n

It comes after Donald Trump put pressure on the Kremlin, calling for “ideally” a 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.<\/p>\n

The US president also warned that if any temporary treaty is violated, the US and its allies will “impose further sanctions.”<\/p>\n

In a lengthy Truth Social post, Trump declared that the peace process “can all be done very quickly” and that he would “be available on a moment\u2019s notice if my services are needed.”<\/p>\n

He added: “Thousands of young soldiers are dying on a weekly basis, and everybody should want it to STOP. I do, and the United States of America does, also.<\/p>\n

“As President, I will stay committed to securing Peace between Russia and Ukraine, together with the Europeans, and a Lasting Peace it will be! This ceasefire must ultimately build toward a Peace Agreement.”<\/p>\n

Putin has been increasingly blamed for resisting calls for a temporary ceasefire.<\/p>\n

They urged Russia to “stop obstructing efforts to secure an enduring peace”.<\/p>\n

Ukraine’s foreign minister Andrii Sybiha confirmed that Ukraine and its allies are ready for a “full, unconditional ceasefire” for at least 30 days starting on Monday.<\/p>\n
