Eyewitnesses working near the scene of the fire told the M.E.N. they heard two ‘loud bangs’, which alerted them to the incident.<\/p>\n They then came outside to see ‘smoke everywhere’.<\/p>\n A Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson has issued the following update:<\/p>\n \u201cJust after 1.25pm on Friday, April 24, fire crews were called to reports of a large fire at an industrial premises on Clarence Avenue in Trafford Park.<\/p>\n \u201cFire engines from Stretford<\/a>, Eccles<\/a> and Manchester Central<\/a> were among the first to attend the scene, where firefighters found a significant fire involving part of a factory building, with reports that chemicals and oil drums were stored nearby.<\/p>\n \u201cCrews quickly deployed jets to fight the fire, while additional fire engines, specialist equipment and an aerial appliance were also mobilised.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/0_Screenshot-2026-04-24-155733.png\")
