From Rael San Fratello\u2019s award-winning \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/2021\/01\/us-mexico-teeter-totter-design-award\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Teeter-Totter Wall<\/a>\u201d to the healing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/2024\/10\/wind-phones\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Wind Phone<\/a> project to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thisiscolossal.com\/2020\/10\/little-amal\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">a 12-foot puppet<\/a> walking the world, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrulyplay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Unruly Play<\/a> is a multi-decade archive of participatory projects, public spaces, and digital creations that invite surprise and camaraderie.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur collaborators have always asked us where our ideas come from,\u201d Gimrod says, \u201cand the truth is that they come from references that rarely talk to each other\u2014it can be a seesaw through a border wall or a phone booth connected to the dead\u2026 We wanted to create unusual dialogues and support new creative practices, and Unruly Play was our answer for that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Fully interactive, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unrulyplay.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">the project<\/a> is searchable by theme or browsable through a shuffle feature.
