The US Embassy in London on Friday warned Americans to \u201cexercise increased caution\u201d while visiting Jewish and American areas in the UK and in Europe because of a\u00a0recent rise in threats<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe US Embassy in London\u00a0notes\u00a0recent\u00a0attacks and threats\u00a0targeting Jewish and American institutions in the\u00a0United Kingdom\u00a0and Europe,\u201d the alert said.<\/p>\n

\u201cUS citizens, particularly those\u00a0visiting\u00a0institutions\u00a0serving Jewish or American interests, should remain alert and exercise increased caution.\u201d<\/p>\n

The embassy further advised Americans to remain alert while visiting tourist and expat areas and houses of worship, review personal security plans and to check local media for updates.<\/p>\n

Concerned citizens can also enroll in the State Department\u2019s\u00a0Safe Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)<\/a>\u00a0to receive travel and security updates.<\/p>\n

The advisory followed a series of recent\u00a0antisemitic attacks\u00a0in the UK and in Europe, including an arson attack on four ambulances linked to a Jewish charity in London<\/a> on March 23, an April 18 attack on the Kenton United Synagogue in London<\/a>, and a March explosion at a Jewish school in Amsterdam<\/a> that authorities called a\u00a0\u201ctargeted attack against the Jewish community.\u201d<\/p>\n

No one was injured, but the school was damaged.<\/p>\n

UK authorities are investigating\u00a0whether \u201cthugs for hire\u201d backed by Iran are instigating the attacks in London, GB News reported.<\/p>\n
