In his April 11 post, he opened up about his daily routine for maintaining better heart health. <strong>(Also read: <\/strong><a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/cardiologist-shares-5-simple-daily-habits-to-help-lower-your-heart-attack-risk-stand-outside-barefoot-101746763524535.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"Cardiologist shares 5 simple daily habits to help lower your heart attack risk: \u2018Stand outside barefoot&#039;\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Cardiologist shares 5 simple daily habits to help lower your heart attack risk: \u2018Stand outside barefoot&#8217; <\/strong><\/a><strong>)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>    <strong>How Dr. Paddy starts his day<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I&#8217;ve been asked a lot recently about my <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/new-mommies-make-these-5-habits-part-of-your-daily-routine-for-better-health-101745997386071.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"daily routine\" rel=\"noopener\">daily routine<\/a>, nutrition, exercise, and sleep,&#8221; he says. &#8220;Now, number one, I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s particularly interesting, as my situation is always going to be different than everybody else&#8217;s, but in general, here&#8217;s how it looks.&#8221; He goes on to share his sleep habits, saying, \u201cIn general, I get at least 8 hours of sleep a night. I have a one-year-old and a four-year-old, and that&#8217;s the glory of good sleep training.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When it comes to his <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/lifestyle\/health\/a-6-hour-morning-routine-simple-habits-to-start-your-day-better-101745295493494.html\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"morning routine\" rel=\"noopener\">morning routine<\/a>, Dr. Paddy doesn&#8217;t delay his coffee, stating, &#8220;I have coffee first thing in the morning. I do not delay it, and I have no belief in the idea that you should wait. Why would I put myself through that horror?&#8221;\u00a0<\/p>\n<p> What\u2019s his approach to exercise and nutrition<\/p>\n<p>Dr Paddy also prioritises daily exercise, explaining, &#8220;I exercise almost every single day, either through aerobic training or resistance training. On an ideal week, I do 3-4 aerobic sessions and 3 resistance training sessions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Finally, when it comes to <a class=\"backlink\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.hindustantimes.com\/topic\/nutrition\" data-vars-page-type=\"story\" data-vars-link-type=\"Manual\" data-vars-anchor-text=\"nutrition\" rel=\"noopener\">nutrition<\/a>, Dr. Paddy keeps things simple. &#8220;I basically eat whatever I want, as long as I&#8217;m meeting my calorie and protein goals over the week. I don&#8217;t obsess about macros.
