A man has been rushed to hospital following a horror crash in Glasgow<\/a>. Emergency services were called to Aikenhead Road, near Hampden Park, after the alarm was raised at around 3.40pm on Friday, April 24.<\/p>\n

Officers<\/a> were responding to reports of a two-vehicle collision. Ambulance crews attended and a 63-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment. His condition is currently unknown.<\/p>\n

There were no other reported injuries<\/a>. Speaking last night, an eyewitness said: “The road is closed due to a bad crash outside the garage. The whole bit across is taped off.”<\/p>\n

A picture shared with Glasgow Live<\/a> showed police and medics at the scene, with the busy road closed at the Prospecthill Road junction. Officers say their enquiries are ongoing.<\/p>\n

A Police Scotland<\/a> spokesperson said: “Around 3.40pm on Friday, April 24, 2026, we were called to a report of a two-car crash at the junction of Prospecthill Road and Aikenhead Road in Glasgow.<\/p>\n

“Emergency services attended and a 63-year-old man was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.<\/p>\n

“There were no other reported injuries. Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”<\/p>\n
