A crash on the Edinburgh City Bypass has caused major traffic delays.<\/a><\/p>\n

Police were called to a collision<\/a> on the A720 at Calder at 11.55am on Friday. It is not known how many vehicles were involved at this stage or if any injuries were sustained in the smash.<\/p>\n

The carriageway is currently restricted westbound. Emergency services are in attendance, reports Edinburgh Live<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Lengthy queues<\/a> are starting to build for drivers.<\/p>\n

A statement<\/a> from Traffic Scotland reads: “The A720 is restricted westbound at the Calder Junction due to a road traffic collision.<\/p>\n

“Emergency services are on the scene. Traffic queuing as a result with delays approx 13 minutes currently.”<\/p>\n

Police Scotland have been approached for comment<\/a>.<\/p>\n
