CBI Wales survey builds a better future for women leaders<\/p>\n

Welsh businesses and\u00a0employees\u00a0are urged to get behind\u00a0efforts to\u00a0remove barriers to women\u2019s careers and improve workplace gender equity,\u00a0by taking part in a\u00a0new CBI-University of South Wales\u00a0survey.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The\u00a0bi-annual\u00a0CBI-USW\u00a0Leadership\u202fLandscape Survey\u00a0collates\u00a0evidence\u00a0from firms and workers across Wales\u00a0to gain a better understanding of the\u00a0challenges that face many women\u00a0in achieving their career goals.\u00a0The\u00a0questionnaire\u00a0is completed\u00a0anonymously\u00a0by clicking\u00a0here.<\/a>\u00a0It closes on May 22.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Open to\u00a0all\u00a0employees and business leaders\u00a0living and working in Wales, the\u00a0survey\u00a0asks respondents\u00a0about their experience of\u00a0workplace\u00a0culture, flexible working\u00a0and\u00a0work-life balance,\u00a0including\u00a0caring\u00a0responsibilities\u00a0and childcare\u00a0provision.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0survey\u00a0is coordinated by the\u00a0USW\u2019s\u00a0Business Research and Innovation Group,\u00a0and\u00a0the\u00a0CBI\u00a0Wales\u2019\u00a0Women in Leadership\u00a0group. It\u00a0aims to\u00a0drive\u00a0policy change on workplace culture\u00a0and\u00a0support more women into leadership roles.<\/p>\n

Katie\u202fSpackman, Deputy Director, CBI Wales, recently said<\/strong>:<\/p>\n

\u201cBy taking part in the survey, businesses and employees\u00a0will be contributing\u00a0to the\u00a0CBI\u2019s\u00a0efforts to\u00a0remove the\u00a0many\u00a0barriers\u00a0to\u00a0women\u2019s careers\u00a0and\u00a0help\u00a0Wales\u00a0become one\u00a0of Europe\u2019s most\u00a0inclusive,\u00a0competitive\u00a0and sustainable economies over the next decade.\u00a0The results of the survey will\u00a0inform a\u00a0joint CBI-USW report\u00a0on women in leadership\u00a0in October.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
