{"id":921685,"date":"2026-04-27T11:07:19","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T11:07:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/921685\/"},"modified":"2026-04-27T11:07:19","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T11:07:19","slug":"the-brilliant-female-only-tattoo-studio-affected-by-shocking-building-collapse-in-sheffield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/921685\/","title":{"rendered":"The brilliant female-only tattoo studio affected by shocking building collapse in Sheffield"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"category\">The Sheff<\/p>\n<p>              Sheffield\u2019s top independent bookshops are putting on a big book festival this weekend<\/p>\n<p>                  <a class=\"mb-4\" href=\"https:\/\/thehootleeds.com\/author\/daisyjackson\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><br \/>\n                    <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/02c46b614553775978b6b7e75bb42196152303d788a8809aa05349c9386a56b3.jpeg\" width=\"40\" height=\"40\" class=\"avatar rounded-circle\" alt=\"Daisy Jackson\"\/><br \/>\n                    Daisy Jackson<br \/>\n                  <\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>A bunch of the top bookshops in Sheffield are banding together this weekend for a huge book festival. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Sheffield Independent Book Festival (or SIBFest) will be a weekend designed for book lovers, with author talks, signings, workshops, reading rooms and more. <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;ll even be a bookshop crawl encouraging people to visit Sheffield&#8217;s many brilliant bookshops.<\/p>\n<p>Different bookshops will be hosting their own fringe events on the first day of the festival, before loads of local businesses come together at Kelham Island for a full day of book-themed events. <\/p>\n<p>SIBFest has been created by booksellers, for book lovers, with an aim to &#8216;celebrate stories, and the shops and publishers who keep them alive&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s been created by the people behind local businesses like Novel (which is temporarily closed because of an issue where staff have been being harassed by a member of the public); and La Biblioteka at Leah&#8217;s Yard.<\/p>\n<p>Hillsborough Bookshop, a neighbourhood children&#8217;s bookshop, and Juno Books, a queer independent bookshop, have also organised the event. <\/p>\n<p>It will all be taking place at bookshops across the city, plus at The Victoria and The Mowbray at Kelham Island.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sheffield-independent-book-festival-210426-DH-thesheff-1.jpg\" alt=\"There'll be events at La Biblioteka at Leah's Yard for SIBFest\" class=\"wp-image-275211\"\/>There&#8217;ll be events at La Biblioteka at Leah&#8217;s Yard for SIBFest<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/sheffield-independent-book-festival-210426-DH-thesheff-4-1200x1600.jpg\" alt=\"Novel is also taking part in the Sheffield Independent Book Festival\" class=\"wp-image-275206\"\/>Novel is also taking part in the Sheffield Independent Book Festival<\/p>\n<p>Here, you&#8217;ll find a marketplace for local bookshops and indie makers inside The Mowbray, while The Victoria will host all sorts of talks, workshops and signings. <\/p>\n<p>There&#8217;ll also be a Graphic Novel Reading Room, where you can relax with a good graphic novel upstairs at the Lodge at The Victoria. <\/p>\n<p>And you can grab delicious food, cocktails and coffee throughout the day in both venues. <\/p>\n<p>SIBFest (Sheffield Independent Book Festival) lineup<\/p>\n<p>Confirmed speakers include:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bethan Woollvin (These Are My Rocks, Robin Hood, Little Red, I Can Catch a Monster)<\/li>\n<li>Steve Webb (Peng and Spanners, Spangles McNasty, Cow&#8217;s Go Boo, Tanka Tanka Skunk)<\/li>\n<li>Luke Barley (Ancient)<\/li>\n<li>Hazel Sheffield (Frontierland)<\/li>\n<li>Manya Wilkinson (Lublin, &amp;
