Farsley is set to host a one-off fine dining fundraiser next month as Leeds charity Zarach<\/a> teams up with chefs The Epicurean Duo for an evening at the 1912 Mill. <\/p>\n

The event, on Friday 22 May, will raise money to help provide bed bundles for children experiencing bed poverty.<\/p>\n

Held in the historic surroundings of the Sunny Bank Mills, the supper club will feature a multi-course tasting menu created for the night. <\/p>\n

The event is the first time The Epicurean Duo \u2013 which brings together renowned chefs George Birtwell (MasterChef: The Professionals 2024 finalist) and Samira Effa (Great British Menu 2024 competitor) \u2013 has provided a supper club in Leeds.<\/p>\n

Ellie McGrath, Head of Fundraising at Zarach, said: \u201cWe chose 1912 Mill in Farsley as a less well-known but really beautiful space. We\u2019d seen chef fundraising events in London, and we wanted to bring the idea to Leeds, but to offer somewhere a bit different. It\u2019s an exquisite building and we know it\u2019s going to be a really special evening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zarach supports children who do not have a safe, comfortable place to sleep by providing a bed, mattress, bedding and pyjamas, working with schools to identify families who need help. <\/p>\n

The charity says a good night\u2019s sleep can make a big difference to children\u2019s health, wellbeing and ability to learn in the classroom. It partners with schools to identify children in need of support, and provides them with a brand-new bed bundle and help for families.<\/p>\n

Funds raised from the event in Farsley will go towards supporting more than 300 children who are currently experiencing bed poverty in Leeds.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ellie added: \u201cThe charity has already delivered 1,251 beds in Leeds this financial year and receives many referrals from west Leeds schools. <\/p>\n

\u201cEvery ticket purchased at this event will contribute to transforming a child\u2019s night \u2013 and their future.\u201d<\/p>\n
