Falcon parents Bonnie and Clyde have welcomed two new eyasses (chicks) to the family over the weekend, with two eggs still to hatch.\"The<\/p>\n

Glasgow’s now famous peregrine falcon family<\/a> is expanding with mum Bonnie and dad Clyde welcoming two new adorable chicks.<\/p>\n

Having hatched on Friday, the pair have been working as a team to keep the remaining eggs warm and feed their two new eyasses (the formal name for falcon chicks).<\/p>\n

With 2026 nesting season having officially begun, the duo have been working hard from their nest box at this year’s nesting site in the city chambers.<\/p>\n

The falcon parents, who have been together since 2021, welcomed chicks Jack and Victor <\/a>into the world last year, though Jack sadly passed away and Victor grew up to fly the nest.<\/p>\n

Now they will be hoping to be even more successful this year, with a potential four chicks in the offing. Footage shared on the Glasgow City Council page, alongside the Glasgow Peregrine Project page, has delighted fans.<\/p>\n

The council posted: “Welcome to the world. Two of Bonnie and Clyde\u2019s eggs hatched over the weekend, and the little ones have been welcomed with big warm hugs, love, and affection from Mum and Dad.”<\/p>\n

A typical Peregrine Falcon clutch consists of 3 to 4 eggs \u2013 From March 18 to March 25, Bonnie laid a total of four eggs \u2013 while 2-3 chicks usually go on to reach maturity if the parents are successful, so here is hoping all four can make it this time around.<\/p>\n

A ‘peregrine cam’ has been installed at their nesting place on the City Chambers spire so the council can keep up to date with their feathered tenants.<\/p>\n
