LIMAVADY has been named as Northern Ireland\u2019s best location to \u2018work from home\u2019 by a leading rural broadband provider.
The north-west town ranked first in the Remote Working Index, an independent study by Fibrus to celebrate the impact of enhanced digital connectivity across the Province and recognise the evolving nature of working life in Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
The Index draws on a robust set of measures including broadband speed, average house prices, access to shared and flexible workspaces, proximity to green spaces, and transport links to cities to establish a Top 10 ranking.<\/p>\n
Limavady\u2019s top ranking emerges as a result of its favourable home prices, with prices for a 3-bed house in the town averaging \u00a3166,332, compared to an average of \u00a3208,798 across Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n
The town was also recognised for its strong transport links between Derry City and Belfast as well as its 95% ultra-fast broadband availability.<\/p>\n
Local man Thomas Adeleaux is one example of how improved connectivity continues to transform life in the North West.
Now working remotely between Magilligan and London, Thomas and his partner moved back to Limavady in search of a home that could be close to family, beaches and green spaces without having to sacrifice career opportunities.<\/p>\n
