Taylor Swift shut down feud rumors with music producer Jack Antonoff after he wasn\u2019t involved in her latest \u201cLife of a Showgirl\u201d album.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cJack Antonoff is a collaborator of mine and one of my best friends,\u201d the Grammy winner told the New York Times <\/a>in an interview released on April 28.<\/p>\n

She also gushed over their working relationship, saying, \u201cWe established this thing that we love to do, and we call it the rant bridge.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s basically like stream of consciousness, endless pouring-out of emotion, intrusive thoughts, blended with metaphor, with discussion, with shouting,\u201d Swift, 36, explained.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou want this rant bridge to feel the most intense of what that feeling is that you\u2019re trying to establish over the course of the song and you want it to be kind of a crescendo.\u201d<\/p>\n

The hitmaker named her 2014 track \u201cOut of the Woods,\u201d 2019 song \u201cCruel Summer\u201d and 2023 hit \u201cIs It Over Now\u201d as a few examples of songs with rant bridges.<\/p>\n

Antonoff and Swift have been collaborating since the latter\u2019s 2013 track \u201cSweeter Than Fiction.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duo also co-produced and wrote Swift\u2019s Grammy-winning \u201c1989\u201d album, which she released in 2014.<\/p>\n

They went on to work on Swift\u2019s \u201cReputation\u201d (2017), \u201cLover\u201d (2019), \u201cFolklore\u201d (2020), \u201cEvermore\u201d (2020) and \u201cMidnights\u201d (2022).<\/p>\n

Antonoff, 42, was also front and center to help Swift re-record her studio albums<\/a> after former music executive Scooter Braun acquired her masters<\/a> in 2019. Swift re-purchased her masters<\/a> in May 2025.<\/p>\n

Additionally, Antonoff joined Swift onstage <\/a>as a surprise guest for her Eras Tour stop in New Jersey in 2023 and helped her produce her 2024 studio album, \u201cThe Tortured Poets Department.<\/p>\n

Swift, however, didn\u2019t collaborate with him for her 2025 \u201cLife of a Showgirl\u201d album, which she previously hinted would be different <\/a>from her past albums.<\/p>\n

Antonoff and Swift were both seen exiting the Jane Hotel after a cozy dinner together on Monday. GC Images<\/p>\n

The \u201cOpalite\u201d singer turned to Max Martin and Shellback to help produce the album.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe three of us have made some of my favorite songs that I\u2019ve ever done before,\u201d she shared on her fianc\u00e9 Travis Kelce\u2019s \u201cNew Heights\u201d podcast last year. \u201cThey were my main collaborators on my \u2018Red\u2019 album \u2026 we\u2019ve made songs that I\u2019m so proud of \u2026 [and doing this] felt like catching lightning in a bottle, honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n
