Version 1.103 is available to download now on PS5.

Key additions include a scoring system for the game’s easy difficulty, and a new accessory that, when equipped, makes the game harder. Some slick cosmetics have been added, too.

A bunch of gameplay balance adjustments have been made as well: the Poleblade has been handed a flat 15% damage buff, and a couple of particularly frustrating platforming puzzles have been toned down.

But there’s one really interesting improvement listed towards the bottom of the patch notes. Apparently, “optimisations” have been made to enemy hit animations to “enhance the feeling of impact”.

Given that so many attacks tend to lack impact — a popular criticism of the game — this could be a surprisingly big deal.

Dear souls,

A new patch is up for both PlayStation 5 and PC systems!
And, a little more…https://t.co/BsVKehMFWB

We want to thank you for your continued support and patience towards Lost Soul Aside! pic.twitter.com/q2AWdHg5RW

— Lost Soul Aside (@Lost_Soul_Aside) April 28, 2026

Anyway, here are the patch notes in full:

Lost Soul Aside Patch 1.103 Patch Notes

PS5 & Indeed, many of the criticisms we brought up in our Lost Soul Aside PS5 review simply don’t hold up anymore — and that’s a surefire sign of progress.

Might you dive back into Lost Soul Aside?
