Ronnie O\u2019Sullivan vowed to follow the money next season following his World Snooker Championship defeat to John Higgins.<\/p>\n
O\u2019Sullivan gave his searing assessment in response to the brutal cancellation of the lucrative Saudi Arabia Masters, worth a staggering \u00a32.3 million, just two years into a 10-year deal.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cAny tournament I go to, they all know they have to get the cheque book out, so where ever I go that\u2019s standard. If that stops then I stop.<\/p>\n
\u201cWherever it is, Saudi, Qatar, China, here, whatever it is, I always make sure I\u2019ve got some sort of fee coming because otherwise people know that I won\u2019t turn up.\u201d<\/p>\n
Pressed on whether his Academy in Riyadh would be affected, O\u2019Sullivan added: \u201cI have other options, so I\u2019m not really worried.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully Saudi still want to do some stuff, but we\u2019ll have to wait and see, then I\u2019ll make my decisions based on whatever happens there.\u201d<\/p>\n
O\u2019Sullivan has been selective with events in the past couple of years and that is set to continue into next season.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cIt depends, if my sponsors are on board, then I\u2019ll play, but I\u2019m not two-feet in like pretty much most of the guys. I\u2019m just grateful to be playing, and enjoying my playing and that\u2019s it. And if I don\u2019t enjoy it, I\u2019ll take time out. We\u2019ll see. It\u2019s too hard to start speculating about next year.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just enjoying myself I\u2019m having good fun, I\u2019m just enjoying life and whatever I\u2019m doing, so win, lose, draw, there\u2019s always a safety net below. I\u2019m not two feet in.<\/p>\n
