Fire engines dashed to a blaze in Birmingham city centre.<\/p>\n
Two trucks were parked on Broad Street<\/a> at around 12.30am, today, Sunday, May 11.<\/p>\n Crews found a bin on fire outside the Indian restaurant Qavali, based on neighbouring Brindleyplace.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Walsall brothel busted as police arrest 20 in organised crime operation<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n READ MORE: ‘Forever 15’ tribute to biker killed in Redditch crash as crowdfunder closes in on \u00a34k<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n READ MORE: Security in place 24\/ 7 after travellers move onto University of Birmingham land<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n Crews appeared on Cumberland Street, to the side of the eatery, as they dealt with the incident.<\/p>\n It was not thought the fire affected the restaurant.<\/p>\n A fire service spokeswoman told BirminghamLive today: “We were called to a bin on fire, near to the Indian restaurant Qavali, in Brindleyplace, Birmingham<\/a>.<\/p>\n “It was next to an external canopy of the restaurant. It didn’t affect the restaurant.<\/p>\n “We had two trucks in attendance, just before 12.30am today, and the fire was extinguished.<\/p>\n![](\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/0_bp2JPG.jpg\")
