Newcastle United\u2019s<\/a> Saudi ownership remain committed to the club but must speed up their decision-making processes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

That is the view of former Everton chief executive Keith Wyness, speaking to Football Insider<\/strong>, who states that PIF will not be pulling their funding for the Magpies.<\/p>\n

It comes after PIF sold their 70 per cent share in Saudi club Al-Hilal for \u00a3276million, and could cut their funding for LIV Golf, whilst the war in the Middle East could be having an effect on their investments.<\/p>\n

However, PIF have yet to confirm whether Newcastle will redevelop St James\u2019 Park to increase its capacity or build a new 65,000-capacity stadium at Leazes Park.<\/p>\n

A new state-of-the-art training ground for Newcastle<\/a> has also yet to advance, and the club\u2019s revenue will be hit next season with no European football on Tyneside.<\/p>\n

PIF \u2018must become more nimble\u2019 as \u2018issues\u2019 emerge<\/p>\n

Everton\u2019s former chief Keith Wyness, who served as CEO at Goodison Park between 2004 and 2009 and now runs a football consultancy advising elite clubs, has heard of \u201cissues\u201d at Newcastle relating to the ownership\u2019s decision-making.<\/p>\n

He told Football Insider<\/strong>\u2018s Inside Track podcast: \u201cWhere it may impact them is why they\u2019re taking so long about this whole new stadium and training ground project is that investment going forward, and they\u2019ve got to satisfy themselves that it makes sense financially to do that. <\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t think it affects Newcastle anymore, apart from the fact it may just delay decision-making, which is crucial in football. That\u2019s the only thing that could be a negative. <\/p>\n

\u201cFrom what I\u2019m hearing, there are issues in terms of delays from decision-making from PIF anyway and have been for a while, and they\u2019ve got to sort that out and become more nimble. <\/p>\n

\u201cBut all this scaremongering about PIF pulling out of sport is not true at all. I just see them as evaluating each investment and saying, that one\u2019s okay, this one isn\u2019t, which makes quite a lot of common sense. So there is a lot of drama about this which I think is unfounded.\u201d<\/p>\n

With the summer transfer window fast approaching, and with a squad rebuild set to take place, Newcastle must be decisive with their decisions in the market.<\/p>\n

With Fabian Schar and Emil Krafth both on course to leave Newcastle upon the expiry of their contracts in the summer, and with Kieran Trippier having already confirmed his departure, Eddie Howe will be looking for a new defender this summer. <\/p>\n

Sources have told Football Insider<\/strong> that Newcastle could look to sign Jan Paul van Hecke<\/a> from Brighton, as the 25-year-old prepares to enter the final year of his contract.<\/p>\n

Van Hecke has started all but two games for Brighton this season, who are currently on course to qualify for the Europa League.<\/p>\n
