There is an epidemic of violence against Jewish people.<\/p>\n It is now a national emergency and needs to be treated as such by the Government and public authorities.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n A pizza shop worker on Golders Green Road has said he helped an elderly stab victim after he saw him \u201cbleeding\u201d from his neck after he was attacked.<\/strong><\/p>\n Tariq Aziz, who works at pizza takeaway shop Slice, told the Press Association: \u201cHe came to our shop and then I gave him a tissue and helped him, and then police came suddenly and arrest the guy.\u201d<\/p>\n He said the suspect \u201cwasn\u2019t running away\u201d after the attack and that when the police came, he pointed out the suspect as he was \u201cjust walking down there with a knife\u201d and \u201cthe police arrested him.\u201d<\/p>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n A large police cordon remains in place in Highfield Avenue, Golders Green, north London<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n At least five police cars are at the scene and officers are speaking to residents as they leave the cordon.<\/p>\n Among them is Moishe Grunfeld, 52, who told the Press Association: \u201cIt happens in Israel, but happening on our own doorstep, of course it\u2019s shocking.<\/p>\n \u201cI have kids, I have grandchildren.\u201d<\/p>\n Asked how he feels following a spate of antisemitic attacks in north London, Grunfeld said: \u201cYou push it away, you have to live on.\u201d<\/p>\n Share<\/a><\/p>\n The Labour MP for Finchley and Golders Green, Sarah Sackman, said attacks \u201con British Jews are an attack on Britain itself\u201d, after two men were stabbed in her constituency.<\/strong><\/p>\n The courts minister said:<\/p>\n double quotation markI have been made aware of a serious stabbing in Golders Green. No officers were injured.<\/p>\n Two men \u2013 one in his 70s and one in his 30s \u2013 were treated at the scene for stab wounds.
