Detectives have released new images showing two potential key witnesses as a man continues to fight for his life after being attacked in the street<\/a>.<\/p>\n Officers are investigating a serious assault which took place shortly after midnight on Wednesday (May 7) on Dantzic Street, in the NOMA area of Manchester city centre<\/a>.<\/p>\n Greater Manchester Police<\/a> says a man in his 30s received serious, life-threatening injuries, and remains in a critical condition in hospital today (Sunday).<\/p>\n The force has now released more CCTV images showing a man and a woman they believe could have important information to assist detectives with their enquiries.<\/p>\n The pair, along with any other witnesses, are being urged to come forward as soon as possible.<\/p>\n Detective Inspector Mark Astbury, from GMP\u2019s City of Manchester district, said: “We are continuing to investigate a serious assault which has left a man in critical condition in hospital.<\/p>\n “We are working to establish the full circumstances of the incident, and what led to it taking place.<\/p>\n “If anyone has any information, I would urge them to get in touch with us, either directly or anonymously.”<\/p>\n Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police on 0161 856 4259, online using Live Chat<\/a> or by calling 101, quoting log number 991 of May 7, 2025.<\/p>\n Information can also be passed on anonymously by calling the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.<\/p>\n —<\/p>\n Day in day out, our reporters in the Manchester Evening News newsroom bring you remarkable stories from all aspects of Mancunian life.
