The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Birmingham<\/a> and across the West Midlands tomorrow, Monday, May 12.<\/p>\n

Forecasters said there was a chance of very heavy downpours with hail and thunder.<\/p>\n

The ten-hour weather warning is in place from noon to 10pm.<\/p>\n

Despite the outlook tomorrow, the rest of the week promises to be back to sunny spells and 25C temperatures.<\/p>\n

In a forecast for the West Midlands, the Met Office said: “Another largely fine day (today) with plenty of sunshine, although somewhat cloudier than on Saturday with the chance of isolated evening thunderstorms.<\/p>\n

“Feeling very warm with temperatures well above average. Maximum temperature 25C.<\/p>\n

“Tonight: A mixture of clear spells and cloud overnight with the chance of showers at times, these heavy in places with the odd rumble of thunder.<\/p>\n

“Much milder than recent nights Minimum temperature 10C.<\/p>\n

“Monday: Sunny spells with cloud bubbling up and scattered heavy showers breaking out.<\/p>\n

“Locally very heavy downpours with hail and thunder a possibility but some places remaining dry. Feeling warm. Maximum temperature 25C.<\/p>\n

“Outlook for Tuesday to Thursday: High pressure will once again re-establish itself with dry and settled conditions returning.<\/p>\n
