{"id":928384,"date":"2026-04-30T11:02:25","date_gmt":"2026-04-30T11:02:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/928384\/"},"modified":"2026-04-30T11:02:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-30T11:02:25","slug":"fresh-plans-for-stanningley-mcdonalds-drive-thru-submitted","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/928384\/","title":{"rendered":"Fresh plans for Stanningley McDonalds drive-thru submitted"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-right\"><strong>By John Baron<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Fresh plans to build a McDonalds drive-thru restaurant in Stanningley have been submitted to Leeds City Council.<\/p>\n<p>Permission to build the fast food restaurant was <a href=\"https:\/\/westleedsdispatch.com\/green-light-for-stanningley-mcdonalds-drive-thru-plans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">approved in principle by the council <\/a>last October, with local opinion split on the proposals. 56 letters were received in support, and 57 objecting.<\/p>\n<p>Fresh plans submitted this week include a revised car park layout.<\/p>\n<p>A planning statement submitted with the application states: \u201cFollowing further discussions between McDonald\u2019s and the landowner, the proposals have been revised. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe size, position and general layout of the McDonald\u2019s building is unchanged. The layout of the car park has been amended, and this application has a revised \u2018red line\u2019 boundary.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, the proposed development is\u00a0not materially different from that which has recently\u00a0been granted planning permission.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement says the application site now incorporates additional land to the north, while the site\u2019s eastern boundary has been brought in.
