In her most recent episod<\/a>e, she sat with IT Cosmetics founder (and close friend) Jamie Kern Lima, where they discussed a ton of topics. While discussing Lima’s rosacia and the inspiration behind IT Cosmetics, Markle talked about her own relationship with her skin\u2014specifically her freckles\u2014and how it limited her chances in beauty ads.<\/p>\n “When I was auditioning for commercials, I remember my commercial agent could not submit me for beauty or skincare ads because I had freckles,” Markle shared. “They were like ‘No, no. It’s just never going to work because freckles aren’t a sign of beauty.'”<\/p>\n She continued, “You couldn’t see yourself reflected there.”<\/p>\n Samir Hussein\/Contributor\/Getty Images<\/p>\n Thankfully, the 43-year-old sees how much the beauty world has changed today. She also hasn’t shied away from showing off her freckles as she’s always been the queen of no-makeup makeup looks<\/a>.<\/p>\n She even goes makeup free every once in a while, which she showed off going on Kern’s own podcast show, The Jamie Kern Lima Show.
