\u010cesk\u00e1 televize has revealed that Ruy Okamura is the Artistic Director for Daniel Zizka\u2019s performance of \u201cCrossroads\u201d at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026.<\/p>\n
Ruy Okamura is the overall Artistic Director the Czech delegation for the Eurovision Song Contest. Ruy has been responsible for all elements related to the music video, photography, staging and communication surrounding Daniel Zizka and his song \u201cCrossroads\u201d. He has previously been responsible for the music videos for Czechia 2022, Austria 2023, Switzerland 2024 and Switzerland 2025. <\/p>\n
In a comment for Eurovision Czechia, he said:<\/p>\n
\n\u201cFrom the very beginning, we wanted to create a unified visual world for Daniel. Our goal was to come up with an approach that is rather unusual on the Eurovision stage. The staging, which we have been working intestively on for three months, will be the culmination of this new direction.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
Daniel \u017di\u017eka will perform \u201cCrossroads\u201d In slot 5 in the second semi-final on May 14.<\/p>\n
Who is Daniel \u017di\u017eka?<\/p>\n
Daniel \u017di\u017eka was born in Prague. He initially studied musical theatre at the Jaroslav Je\u017eek Conservatory, but eventually started writing and performing his own music.<\/p>\n
\u017di\u017eka released his debut single \u201cPierrot\u201d in 2023. He has since released more singles over the following years, such as \u201cTalk\u201d and \u201c23:23\u201d. The Czech magazine\u00a0Headliner\u00a0described \u017di\u017eka as one of the future talents of the Czech music scene. He is currently working on his debut EP.<\/p>\n
