Everton Women are halfway through their 20-day break. With safety now essentially secured in the top flight, there is a sense that the season is beginning to wind down.<\/p>\n
Last time out they were well beaten by Manchester United 2-0, although victory a week earlier over Crystal Palace pushed the Blues up the table. They now sit 10 points clear of the bottom club with just four matches to play.<\/p>\n
A number of players have been involved in international fixtures in recent days, while this weekend the FA Cup<\/a> takes centre stage in the women’s game. She netted in the 16th minute and played the full 90 minutes for the Red Flames.<\/p>\n There were also an impressive international showing for Veatriki Sarri, who scored for Greece past her Everton team-mate Courtney Brosnan. However, Brosnan’s Republic of Ireland side eventually won 2-1.<\/p>\n Kelly Gago and Hayley Ladd also got minutes for France and Wales respectively, while 19-year-old Emma Watson was a late substitute for the Scotland senior side against Germany, albeit they lost 6-1.<\/p>\n Sara Holmgaard also played the full 90 minutes for Denmark in a 3-0 defeat to Italy.<\/p>\n Duo Launch New Project<\/strong><\/p>\n Brosnan and Katja Snoeijs have both been named ambassadors for Everton in the Community’s 2026 Street Child World Cup journey.<\/p>\n Everton’s official charity will represent Team England at the event next year. EitC will be taking youngsters from across Merseyside to the event in North America.
