Wolves? Maybe if they do not strengthen. West Ham? They also need to build a better squad but they won’t be worse than the three promoted clubs.

Tottenham and Manchester United? Their poor seasons are surely one-offs and they will be pressing for some form of European football at the sharper end of the table. The promoted clubs must use the likes of Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Brighton and Brentford as the yardsticks for success with the aim to build a steady platform for progress.

Bristol City striker Nahki Wells will have his work cut out at Bramall Lane (Picture: Getty Images)

The Blades are the best of the rest currently chasing promotion and have the advantage of experiencing the Premier League last term. They lead Bristol City 3-0 after their first-leg success at Ashton Gate last Thursday so the return is surely a foregone conclusion even if the Robins score an early goal.

The red half of the Steel City can celebrate victory on home soil at 23/25 with BetMGM and Unibet and a Sheffield United win by more than one goal is 19/10 with the same firms, who also go 47/20 Tyrese Campbell scores at any time.

• Jakub Mensik is 4/6 with William Hill to win his Italian Open duel with Fabian Marozsan in Rome.

• Danielle Collins beat defending champion Iga Swiatek in the third round of the women’s singles at the Italian Open and can overpower Elina Svitolina in their fourth-round match at 11/8 with bet365 and Betfred.

Arrow
MORE: Real Madrid consider signing £27m Arsenal star after ‘dream target’ William Saliba

Arrow
MORE: Two Premier League clubs line up moves for ex-Man Utd striker Mason Greenwood

Arrow
MORE: Harry Kane lifts first trophy as Bayern Munich respond to Premier League return rumours

Blades boss Chris Wilder is on the brink of enjoying a return to the Premier League (Picture: Getty…

[8817
18228,748,9030,393,94,4884,536,7748,1620,4239,93,22141,16,15,12904
0":"post-93085","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-sheffield","8":"tag-bristol-city","9":"tag-britain","10":"tag-championship","11":"tag-england","12":"tag-football","13":"tag-great-britain","14":"tag-metro-newspaper","15":"tag-rome","16":"tag-sheffield","17":"tag-sheffield-united","18":"tag-sport","19":"tag-the-tipster","20":"tag-uk","21":"tag-united-kingdom","22":"tag-wembley
["GET
