(WKYT) &#8211; A London police officer reportedly slapped a man after his arrest according to the Laurel County Sheriff\u2019s Office. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Police responded April 22 to a call about an \u201cout-of-control\u201d man who had walked away from an Inspired Living treatment facility. The man and the caller moved to a field behind a Lowe\u2019s when the man began throwing rocks at the caller, police say. <\/p>\n<p><a class=\"link | text-reset d-block h-100 w-100\" href=\"https:\/\/www.wkyt.com\/page\/wkyt-apps-for-ios-and-android-devices\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_self\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"figure-img img-fluid mx-auto d-block\" alt=\"WKYT Streaming Apps\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/05\/MEPHTWNVMREWLEQQWWFJM27ZMA.png\" width=\"980\" height=\"199\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The London Police Department arrived before sheriff\u2019s deputies, and were in a physical struggle with the man according to police. A deputy aided in restraining the man, and the London Police Department took him into custody, authorities say. <\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Sheriff\u2019s deputies say they were made aware later that day that a London officer had slapped the man while he was in police custody. After a review of the incident by the sheriff\u2019s office command staff, the information was reported to the FBI. <\/p>\n<p>Copyright 2026 WKYT.
