Birmingham City are \u2018in touch\u2019 with City Football Group over the permanent acquisition of Colombian midfielder Jhon Solis,<\/a> manager Chris Davies<\/a> has confirmed to BirminghamLive.<\/strong><\/p>\n Solis is due to play the final game of his loan from Girona on Saturday when Blues<\/a> take on Portsmouth at Fratton Park.<\/p>\n The 21-year-old has played 17 matches for Blues and netted his first goal in last weekend\u2019s win over Bristol City at St Andrew\u2019s.<\/p>\n FOLLOW ON FACEBOOK!<\/strong> All the latest Blues news on Birmingham Live\u2019s Birmingham City FC Facebook page<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n Davies has previously confirmed his desire to see Solis\u2019s stay in Birmingham made permanent,<\/a> and his parent club, Girona, is a willing seller. Blues are understood to have an option to buy Solis this summer.<\/p>\n The La Liga club are owned by City Football Group, which also owns Manchester City, and Blues are in dialogue with them over a deal for Solis.<\/p>\n \u201cI know that we\u2019re in touch with City (Football Group) who actually own him,\u201d revealed Davies. \u201cWe speak to them all the time about him. They\u2019ve come to visit and I\u2019ve spoken to them about his progress.<\/p>\n \u201cThey\u2019re communicating with us and we have a really good relationship there.<\/p>\n \u201cI know the player loves it here.
