\n\tFormer One Direction<\/a> singer Zayn Malik<\/a>, who was hospitalized last month with an unspecified illness, has canceled all U.S. dates for the 2026 tour behind his \u201cKonnakol\u201d album<\/a>, which was released on April 17. However, dates in the U.K. and Mexico later this month, which take place before the U.S. tour was scheduled to begin, are still for sale on his website<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tHe wrote in a message on his Instagram<\/a> story:<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cTo my fans: Thank you so much for all the support and love you\u2019ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I\u2019ve felt it, and it\u2019s meant the world. I\u2019ve been at home recovering and I\u2019m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour. I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can. I\u2019m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon. Big Love, Z\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile Malik\u2019s Las Vegas residency <\/a>earlier this year was rapturously received by fans, tickets for the U.S. tour were soft, judging by seating maps on Ticketmaster.<\/p>\n

\n\tDates in Dublin and Birmingham in the U.K. were also canceled.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile details about Malik\u2019s illness were not disclosed, family members called for calm and asked supporters to stop sending flowers to the singer, as a local florist was overwhelmed with order, and instead make donations to charity, specifically the Palestine Project.<\/p>\n

\n\tHis cousin Sasha shared the florist\u2019s statement to her Instagram Stories on on Thursday and wrote: \u201cWe\u2019re so grateful for everyone who has reached out to send bouquets! Logistically, it just simply can\u2019t work\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tHowever, she quickly clarified that the request had nothing to do with Zayn\u2019s sudden hospitalisation last month. \u201cTo clarify, the requests made to @thehiddenbouquet to send flowers to myself and my family were purely out of support & appreciation for our fundraiser throughout ramadan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tMalik has kept a low profile since he revealed last week that he had been hospitalized, without providing details, leading him to cancel an album listening and Q&A session in Kingston, U.K. on April 13.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cHeartbroken that I can\u2019t see you all this week, I wouldn\u2019t be in the place I am today without you guys and am so thankful for your understanding,\u201d he told fans while thanking hospital staff.<\/p>\n

\n\tMalik, who has had a challenging relationship with fame throughout his career, left One Direction in 2015; the group carried on as a quartet before taking what was described as a hiatus the following year. The group\u2019s Liam Payne died <\/a>in 2024 at the age of just 31 after falling from a hotel balcony in Argentina. <\/p>\n
