Additionally, its theatrical run will no longer be exclusively on IMAX screens.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Release Dates<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>February 10, 2027 (IMAX sneak previews)<\/li>\n<li>February 12, 2027 (full theatrical)<\/li>\n<li>April 2, 2017 (stream on Netflix)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This will be Netflix\u2019s biggest theatrical debut to date, says <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/netflix-narnia-movie-greta-gerwig-release-date-1236581880\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">THR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New Quotes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Netflix provided the following press release to NarniaWeb:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote\">\n<p>Academy Award\u2013nominated filmmaker\u00a0Greta Gerwig\u2019s\u00a0Narnia: The Magician\u2019s Nephew, an epic adventure, will release in IMAX and wide globally in theaters on February 12, 2027, and on Netflix on April 2, 2027.\u00a0Sneak previews only in IMAX will begin on February 10, 2027.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A rare phenomenon that spans generations and geographies, Narnia\u2019s release will match the scale and fandom of C. S. Lewis\u2019s beloved books. Audiences will experience a true cinematic event, in IMAX, theaters and on Netflix.<\/p>\n<p>Written for the screen and directed by Gerwig, the origin story for Narnia is the first ever adaptation of C. S. Lewis\u2019s\u00a0The Magician\u2019s Nephew\u00a0\u2014 which was published May 2, 1955 and celebrates its 71st anniversary tomorrow \u2014 and pairs newcomers David McKenna and Beatrice Campbell with an all-star cast that includes Emma Mackey, Carey Mulligan, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith with Daniel Craig and Meryl Streep, and more. Lewis\u2019 book series captured Gerwig\u2019s imagination from a very young age, and she\u2019s beyond thrilled to bring her singular vision to this beloved world.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking with Netflix to bring this film to life has been extraordinary and IMAX continues to be an incredible partner. A member of the cast was injured, we hear, which delayed production for six weeks.\u00a0Narnia\u00a0would not make its Thanksgiving Imax date, so the decision was made to head to Feb. 12, 2027. I\u2019m told this wasn\u2019t a huddled talks decision that came together with exhibitors over CinemaCon.
