Those seeking an affordable getaway need look no further than this beautiful Greek coastal spot. Faliraki Beach, located on the Greek island of Rhodes<\/a>, has been crowned the cheapest beach destination in Europe.<\/p>\n

Airport transfer specialists hoppa<\/a> examined dozens of European destinations, assessing the average cost of three-star hotel accommodation in the nearest town. Faliraki claimed the top spot, with hotel rates beginning at merely \u00a336 per night.<\/p>\n

Beyond being budget-friendly, this beach receives 0mm of summer rainfall. It’s the perfect choice for those wanting guaranteed sunshine, with temperatures averaging 25.7\u00b0C.<\/p>\n

A recent visitor to Faliraki took to TripAdvisor to commend the location, stating: “If you love a sandy beach, then this is the place for you.<\/p>\n

“There are loads of things to do, many watersports, boat trips to take, or just let the kids play on the sand or have a paddle in the cool, blue sea. Wonderful place, with many lovely restaurants serving authentic Greek food.”<\/p>\n

Another commented: “Very clean sea and beach. Many shops and very good prices…There are bars and restaurants with relatively good prices.”<\/p>\n

Other visitors praised the beach for its “panoramic views”, “lovely beach bars” and “warm and crystal-clear” waters.<\/p>\n

Not everyone was left impressed by the beach, however, with one disgruntled visitor grumbling: “Faliraki is totally run down”, while another noted: “It’s a one-horse town with most of the restaurants, bars, etc. closed in April. Nothing to say that is good about the town.”<\/p>\n

Following Faliraki’s top spot, the Croatian coastal destinations of Ka\u0161juni Beach and Bavice Beach claimed second place, with average hotel prices starting at \u00a356.<\/p>\n

Greece, Croatia and Portugal dominated the list of budget-friendly destinations, with all three countries emerging as top picks for sun-seekers looking to enjoy a seaside break without emptying their wallets.<\/p>\n
