Former One Direction star Zayn Malik has cancelled his upcoming Scottish show, weeks after posting on social media from a hospital bed.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The singer, 33, shared a post to his Instagram story on Friday in which he thanked fans for their \u201clove, prayers, and well wishes for my health\u201d.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old will be reducing the number of shows on his upcoming tour, with dates in Glasgow, Dublin and Birmingham being axed.<\/p>\n

In the post, he wrote: \u201cThank you so much for all the support and love you\u2019ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve felt it, and it\u2019s meant the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been at home recovering and I\u2019m doing well and will be better and stronger than before.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour.\u201d<\/p>\n

Malik said he wants to make sure he can still \u201cget out and see as many of you as I possibly can\u201d, adding that he is \u201creally looking forward to playing these shows for you\u201d.<\/p>\n

The former One Direction star has updated his tour schedule on his website, and will perform in London and Manchester next month, with further gigs lined up in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Peru later this year.<\/p>\n

On his website, it states that refunds will be issued automatically.<\/p>\n

The update comes weeks after he shared a picture of himself from hospital and thanked the \u201cincredible\u201d staff who had looked after him, including doctors, nurses and cardiologists.<\/p>\n

Malik, who quit One Direction in 2015, did not disclose what was wrong with him in the post \u2013 but the photo shared in April showed him lying in a bed hooked up to various machines and monitors.<\/p>\n
