Carlos Alcaraz may be on the brink of becoming one of the wealthiest sportsmen on earth, but he still lives in a small house that is just half the size of a tennis court. Despite his skyrocketing fame, the four-time Grand Slam champion<\/a> actually resides at the high-performance academy of his coach and former French Open<\/a> winner, Juan Carlos Ferrero<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Regardless of his \u00a326million fortune, Alcaraz<\/a> has chosen to make a 90-square-metre bungalow in Villena, Alicante, his home. The two-time Wimbledon<\/a> champion’s life is naturally said to revolve around tennis, and so he hasn’t hesitated to tailor his personal life to ensure he continues his success.<\/p>\n

However, with a standard tennis court for doubles measuring 260.87 square meters and a singles court measuring 195.65 square meters, this makes Alcaraz’s abode less than half the size of the courts he has made his name on – a strange arrangement for the 21-year-old multi-millionaire.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz’s current home is even bigger than where he started living when he first relocated to the academy known as Equelite. The Spanish star’s first residence was believed to be a 25-square-metre mini-cabin; he spent lockdown in that house during the pandemic.<\/p>\n

However, since his success, the French Open champion was afforded privileges during his stay in the academy’s residential area and so was handed the current cabin where he now lives. It’s also thought to be the very same house where Ferrero lived when he became world<\/a> number one, reports the Express<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A look at the academy reveals why Alcaraz has picked it as his training ground for further triumphs. The facility, dotted with prefab wooden houses and a country hotel for visiting athletes and their families, is nestled in lush greenery.<\/p>\n

Despite its modest appearance, Alcaraz’s cabin is not short on charm. It boasts well-kept bathrooms with marble finishes and a small porch overlooking the surrounding gardens, all housed within a predominantly wooden structure.<\/p>\n

The minimalist decor is said to foster a clean, distraction-free environment where Alcaraz can concentrate solely on his training. The Ferrero Tennis Academy spans 120,000 square meters and is renowned as one of the world’s top tennis academies.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz has access to 20 tennis courts, a fully equipped gym, and the luxury of a personal trainer at every session. Round-the-clock physiotherapy and massage services are also available to him.<\/p>\n

Perks such as Wi-Fi, air conditioning, and private parking are all part of the package. He also has restaurant services and laundry facilities at his disposal on-site.<\/p>\n

Other sports stars who have chosen the modest lifestyle of Ferrero’s academy include Spanish tennis ace Pablo Carreno, five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova and former world No. 9 Nicolas Almagro.<\/p>\n

While Alcaraz could easily afford a lavish mansion, it’s evident that the young prodigy has put his career first, a decision that is reaping significant rewards for him.<\/p>\n
